I was excited about moving to Dallas last year. I have lived up north most of my life and I do miss aspects of it, but not enough to ever want to move back. I was able to find a really nice home in a great section of town, and my husband got settled into his new job easily enough. The kids love the school they attend, and life was just really good for us. Even when the neighbor’s house was broken into, we just simply called a company that provides ADT home security in Dallas.

We knew that it was an isolated incident because our neighbor’s daughter’s boyfriend knew that they would be away on vacation. Even though we were watching the house, he was able to sneak in during the wee hours of the night and take thousands of dollars worth of their things. It did not frighten us so that we thought we could just as easily become victims, but it did open up our eyes to how thieves will take any opportunity that is presented to them. We did not want to become one of those opportunities, which is why we wanted to have an ADT security system installed.

The basic equipment was free, but we added a bit more to it because we wanted to have a sensor on all of the doors as well as windows. It did not cost us much more to do that, and the installation was also reasonably priced. We went with the Premium Protection monitoring package, because it offers what the other packages do not. In addition to getting everything else, we also get an event history, text alerts, and web and mobile access. Our neighbors got one too after they found out how little ours cost us, and they feel much better now too!
